The kids in my class were asking about doing a class science fair. I wouldn't want it to take more than a week or so to prepare.

Any ideas for topics or websites we could go to in order to find ideas that would work?

I was thinking kids would work in groups of two and do the experiments at school, so they would have to be done with supplies we actually have (limited!) and within a decent time frame... no sticking a plant in a closet to see what happens, or watching bread grow mold!

    Any thoughts???

Our class just did an experiment from Steve Spangler's website, "The Cleaning Power of Taco Sauce." It was easy and it was something the kids were interested in.

I saw one on there called the diaper experiment, and it made me think they can do product tests! With a partner they can choose a product and we can get two or three brands of whatever they choose. We can test and see which works best... sort of consumer science.

I think this sounds fun, anyone done anything similar?
