Hello everyone! I just saw a commercial for Sunny D's book program and was really interested in having my class participate in it this year. Is anyone else here a part of the 20 UPC symbols for 20 books program? If so, how has it worked for your class? What types of books do you receive? Thanks.

They claim that they gave away over 80,000 books last year and nobody here received any?

I also saw the ad this weekend, but I have never participate in it. Hoping that I can tell parents about it and we can start collecting.

My mom told me about the commercial but I haven't heard anything about it through school or anywhere else for that matter.

Do you get to choose your books? Or are they a set they just send you?

I will not take part in this because I do not want to encourage my students to drink more sugary drinks. They market Sunny Delight as a healthful drink. I see it is another drink like Kool aid or soda.

She didn't get to choose the books but she chose her grade level. The books were all very good quality books with a variety but they were popular books.

We use Scholastic at my school. Hope it works out for you.

    Too Much Sugar

I agree with the prior posters about encouraging more consumption of sugary drinks. We all need books but I'm not comfortable with promoting poor nutrition.
