summer romance novel

    I tried so hard to love that book! But something about her prose, I forget what, just drove me crazy and I never finished it... I NEVER do that!

    I did love the movie, but I know that's not the same thing!

    I totally agree with you! I have been trying to catch up on all the great books that I've been dying to read. I love the Janet Evanovich series - I just read "Lean Mean Thirteen" and am now working on Diane Mott Davidson's latest.

    I would start with "One For The Money". It's the first one in the series. They are very quick reads. :) I hope you like them!

    Anybody ever read Jan Karon's "Mitford" series? It's not your usual "romantic" read, but it's really charming.

    Was that the one about the kind old minister?

    If so, have you read The Island Of Heavenly Daze? Once I got past the weird intro(which I figured out was needed later on)...I devoured the whole series! It was so funny and warm! I hated when the series ended. They even have a website to visit the made up island!
