    I made the mistake of looking at a blog recently where people linked up with all their education summer reading ideas--Amazon loves me now! ;)

    Multiplication is for White People, Book Whisperer and one on using brain research to differentiate, I can't remember the title. I also wanted to read Ron Clark's latest.

    My latest 2 grad courses started TODAY, so I get to read 3 texts about advanced articulation and phonological disorders and aphasia, apraxia, and dysarthria. When that's all over, it's time to start work again. :mellow:

    Kids leave Friday, I get out Tues. afternoon. Already read first summer book in 2 days! The Hunger Games. Want to finish the series this summer. Write Beside Them and Deeper Reading. I'm sure I'll be reviewing Fred Jones and some other behavior books. This has been a rough year and the group coming up is not any better. :( Actually it has been a core group who have worn all of us down and made it hard to appreciate the good ones. So, I have to see where my management can improve, where I need to be more understanding, demanding, etc. Of course there will be a ton more that are for pleasure only - tips will probably come from this thread. Thanks for posting it!

    I plan on picking A Song of Ice and Fire back up, the series that Game of Thrones is based on. I only got about halfway through the second book before life got too busy.

    I'm fishing around for literature on how to make resource room programs effective because I seem to be losing the bid for more CTT classes in my school (it was wishful thinking anyway...) Also seeking a book or two with very practical strategies to address executive function problems.

    I think I'll celebrate the last day of school with a long browsing trip to a big Barnes and Noble or something!

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    I can't believe that is the name of the book. I'm tempted to request it at the library and a few book stores just so I can see peoples reactions.

    It's about taking a child's cultural diversity into account when teaching them. I thought is sounded very interesting, we have a very diverse student population. I'm sure the title is meant to be eye-catching.

    That is a funny link about 50 Shades. I looked at the reviews on Amazon recently and it had over 1,000 5 stars and over 1,000 1-stars. Not a good sign. One of them put said she searched her Kindle for certain phrases like "jeez" and there were tons of the same word repeated-that would get on my nerves.

    Personal reading - already read 50 Shades Trilogy, so I'm just gonna read tons of novels - all on my kindle, of course!

    I'm currently hosting a blog linky party to get some ideas for my own summer reading list. So many people have suggested The Book Whisperer. That will be the first one I check out.
