I posted summer reading recommendations. I know someone else posted something about books you can read over and over again. And then there was another one about summer reading.
thanks...I found the one about which ones to read over and over again, I think from May...that's where I found the Hunger Games. Just finished that series and loved it. And I found the one started by someone else for summer reading, I've already put in requests for the books at the library. Now, I'll search for the one you started, to see if there is anything different. Thanks again!
If you like paranormal romance/fantasy type stuff, I would suggest the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. Think Twilight for adults (no vampires but other mythical type creatures).
I am reading the books I plan to use next year and I just finished the Boy in the Striped Pagamas. Very good! Next up is Speak then To Kill a Mocking Bird
Wow, Deedee! All of those books you listed are high school level books here! Our middle school parents would flip out if we tried to teach Speak at that level.
band-- I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what novels to read. I picked a few for me to read and see if they will work. THe Boy in the striped pagamas will work well with the ww2 unit we do. I got all of these off a few 8th grade lists. What do the middle school students read in your district.
