We are going to Fort Walton Beach and the rest of the summer will be spent on getting things ready for next year. That's if I am teaching second grade next year. I am ready to find out if I will be switching grades, but P has been out ill for three days. I guess I will know that end of year eval.

Work on Sprout, first and foremost. Hopefully my school will pay me to help work on 'environment' (decorating/organizing in Reggio speak), otherwise I'll volunteer. ;) Mom and dad are coming out in July (HUZZAH!!) and hopefully we'll have other trips sprinkled around. I'm also going to Stanford's Innovation Lab professional development with TeacherShelly-can't WAIT!!

I will be going to Jamaica the day after we are done. Then I will be traveling up to Canada with some friends. I want to do some hiking this summer. I'll be visiting the shore a lot. I will NOT be working. I have to take some PDs. I will be regaining my sanity.

No big plans. Working part time for Meals on Wheels, visit with my nieces (4 and 1), couple of PDs, read - NOT kids books, walk on the beach...

Soooo looking forward to a calm, relaxing summer after what has been a very stressful year!!

Senior finals are done on the 4th, I'm done on the 11th. During July I'm doing a National Writing Project Summer Invitational Institute, and the first week of August my DH and I have rented a houseboat on Lake Shasta to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We'll be joined by a dozen or so of our family and friends.

    Where in Canada, Bumble?

I haven't made any plans. I know that I'll be taking 2 (or 3) 3-day workshops put on my our teacher's federation. They are always exceptional! I'll do one or two close to home and then one a little further afield to give myself a mini-holiday.

Every weekend from mid-June to mid-September will involve at least one soccer game. Lauren only has a couple of mid-week games this coming season, so we may be able to get away for 4 or 5 days--I'm thinking maybe New York City.

    Painting the kids' bedrooms.

Time with my husband and kids.

Teaching an SAT prep class one morning a week, and a week of summer school.

Lots of days on the deck, watching the kids in the pool.

A few evenings at the beach, walking the boardwalk.

A week in upstate Lake George.

Not too much really, just spending lots of time enjoying my family.

This is my FIRST summer not taking classes for my Master's Degree... I plan doing a whole lot of NOTHING... a few trips to see friends, some writing, reading, and lounging around with my dog!

I'll be working at a summer program all of June, then going on a quick vacation in July, then a shorter summer program in July. I'm attending a technology training in late July, and I'll spend the rest of the summer relaxing and getting ready for the next school year.

I only have a 6 week break and I will be moving into my first house the first week in July, so I will most likely be unpacking boxes and clearing out and cleaning up my apartment for the first couple of weeks. My nephew will also be visiting me for about a week. I think that I will either take him to Jasper or Banff -- maybe we will hike up a mountain. I will probably spend the last week reorganizing and planning for the new school year... I might visit some garage sales for a coffee table and end tables and try my hand at refinishing it.

I plan on a small kitchen update eight after we get out. My sister and I are going to Virginia Beach for a week to visit my DD and SIL. We have a family wedding in Ohio in July and my 30th class reunion in August. Other than that, lots of reading for pleasure. I'm not going to think about school until I have no choice.

    I have a lot planned!

Doing a weeklong workshop the week after we are done.

Going to Myrtle Beach for a few days.

Going to visit family for 10-14 days (I'm going to drive, so I can choose when I head up and when I come back).

Going to Washington, D.C. hopefully for a long weekend.

Chicago for my friend's wedding at the end of July.

At the end of the summer, a special someone gets home from Iraq! :)

It's gonna be a good one this year!

    Ready for summer!

Counting the days until June 10th!

    Summer list -
Few days with husband in Santa Barbara
Week of PD (at least I get paid!)
    Couple of day-long seminars
Road trip to visit parents & Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Getting my oldest daughter settled in Seattle to start University of Washington
Hopefully not moving school sites (still have a TBD placement)
Working on my IRB proposal for my Master's thesis project
I'd like to get some day trips to the beach & SF in too

I should do projects around the house, but I'm not sure if I'll have time. :)
