I watched these lately: Bad Boys for Life - It's part 3 Ford Vs. Ferrari - Very good even if not a racing fan Turning - An odd one Maybe the new Sonic the Hedgehog, Call of the Wild, or Dolittle, which I haven't yet watched any, BTW.
Since last post, have also seen: Underwater Birds of Prey: The Emancipation of Hallie Quinn Sorry. You'll just have to see what's out there. I go to Barnes & Noble very often, but long ago, I was looking for picture books & they surprisingly didn't have any. I personally haven't looked for any in years.
Since the summer of 2019, I’ve seen: Godzilla: The King of Monsters, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, Aladdin, Anna, The Secret Life of Pets: 2, Toy Story 4, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Avengers: Endgame, John Wick 3: Parabellum, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Crawl, The Lion King, Hobbs & Shaw, The Angry Birds Movie 2, Angel Has Fallen, Rambo: Last Blood, Ad Astra, It: Chapter 2, Zombieland: Double Tap, Terminator: Dark Fate, Black and Blue, Countdown, Charlie’s Angels, Frozen II, 21 Bridges, Knives Out, Maleficent 2, Jumanji: The Next Level, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Spies in Disguise, Bad Boys for Life (hilarious movie), 1917, Birds of Prey, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic was perhaps one of the best movies I’ve seen this year. I was laughing throughout and highly recommend that you go and see it. I plan to see: Mulan Artemis Fowl Onward The King’s Man Jungle Cruise Ghostbusters Bloodshot No Time to Die: 007 The New Mutants 6 Underground
Saw Sonic the Hedgehog yesterday evening. Fun movie. Jim Carey was funny. Still a LOT more good-looking ones to see: - The Gentlemen - Gretal & Hansel - Dolittle - Call of the Wild - F9: Fast & Furious - Next James Bond - Mulan - 1984 Wonder Woman - Uncut Gems & MORE!!!
Have now seen: Dolittle Fantasy Island Both were good. I really liked Fantasy Island. The way they end most movies these days, they can easily have sequels & I like that they make them that way.
My son wants us to see Top Gun Maverick. I'm good with paying for that. I'm tired of taking my boys to every Marvel movie. I think I'm done with those and Transformers too. I saw Top Gun in the theater when it came out. Saw it with a good buddy who was in Navy ROTC while in college. He got half the summer off, then spent the other half doing some Navy or Marine officer training. One summer he got to go to Miramar (Top Gun school) and fly Goose (backseat).

Well, movie-going has come to an end for now guys! The theatres are closed for a while. The last movies I got to see last week were: Bloodshot The Boy II Both were great.
Movie theaters aren't open where I live so I guess they don't see the point in releasing a new movie yet?
Right, they delayed Fast & Furious Part 9 from showing till next year, the last I heard quite a while ago now. But some movies are going ahead & showing on On Demand via one's cable company.
Our Drive-In was open summer but they only showed older movies so we didn't bother going. I don't really miss going to the movies since I only went 1-2 times per year.
I am looking and waiting for the Star Wars movie in which charactes are used lightsaber as Jedi weapons I am a big enthusiast of lightsabers so I looking at many websites that sell these products. Finally, I reach a website named ziasabers that produced lightsabers for kids.
I just saw Where the Crawdads Sing. I thought it was pretty good. I read the book a while ago so i didn't remember all the details but it was pretty close to the book. I hate when they make too many changes with books to movies.
I'm not caught up on the show so I don't think I'll watch either movie just yet. I stopped watching the show when one of my favorite characters was killed off.
My teenage son always wants me go see the Marvel movies with him. I'm over the endless supply of comic book characters that are used to make more movies and vacuum more money from my wallet. He says all of these movies are necessary to explain the whole story. I tell him that Disney is a company and they don't care about your story, they only care about making money, and that's why they are in the business of making Marvel movies. Movies are our father-son moments we share, so I suffer through the Marvel stories. My son and I saw the latest Dr. Strange to start the summer. It was cool to see the doc's beginnings and an explanation of his powers and such. I don't feel I need to see further doc movies. Same with Thor. A new Thor movie is out. My son keeps asking when we are going to see it. I keep putting it off. We BOTH looked forward to seeing Top Gun: Maverick and got to watch it the first week it was released. It was very entertaining and we were both glad there was no lovey-dovey junk in it. Now we are both looking forward to Prey (new Predator movie). I'm also interested in Beast.
Isn't that true with all forms of entertainment that you have to pay for? They want to make money. It's your choice whether or not you give them your money.
I want to see Where the Crawdads Sing because I enjoyed the book a lot. I already have tickets for the 35th anniversary showing of Dirty Dancing.
I saw Crawdads last weekend. It was pretty good and mostly followed the book I think. I read it back when it came out so I don't remember everything. The actors were good.
I'd love to see Dirty Dancing on the big screen. I'll have to check to see if it's playing anywhere near me. ETA: Just got a ticket for Sunday, August 14th. It's playing in the closest theater to me, which is super convenient! Thanks for the tip, Ima Teacher
YES, that was a good movie. I want to watch it again with my son. He likes the "Taken" and "Reacher" movies. We also enjoyed "Prey" over the weekend. After it was over, there was an option to watch it in Native Camanche. We agreed we must do that.
What films are you going to watch this summer? I'm looking forward to Ballerina. John Wick is one of my favorite franchises (caught it on hbo max several days ago and enjoyed it again), and this is the most we're getting from it right, but it does actually look good and live up to the standards of the franchise.
DH likes the John Wick movies, so he’ll want to see that one. DH and DSS both like the Jurassic Park movies, so I’m sure they will both want to see that one.
Jurassic park movie??? I had no idea there was going to be a new one. We saw the last one at the Drive-in which was fun but it closed
