I haven't even see the first two.

That popcorn and icee are calling me, might go see Spiderman tomorrow. I've been so lazy, haven't been out of the house all weekend! Make the bedroom dark, turn on some rain sounds on YouTube and play it through my surround sound, don't get up until 11:00 a.m.

    Come on retirement!

I am weird in that I like going to different theatres to mix it up. They offer different concessions that I try from time to time and I like seeing the different architecture at each location. Also, the reclining seats in some of them are amazing!

We have a Regal that's too expensive so I go to a local chain theater. They have a good price on matinees and the closest one is only 5 minutes from my house so I can't beat that! We also have a drive-in on the same road so I like going there too. I like to support local businesses more than the huge expensive theaters (even though their seats are more comfortable).

    Annabelle Comes Home was good.
Gozilla was OK...too much shrieking, etc. for most of the movie for me. I want more actual storyline.

Planning to see Stuber & Crawl next!

Here's where I go in order of most often:

    1) Regal down the street - Stand-alone bldg. Pre-reserved seating, which I don't like, but what can you do!

    2) AMC down the street & closer but it's connected to a mall so parking is horrendous! Also pre-reserved seating

    3) Other AMC 10 min away - Smaller, but no pre-reserved seating.

Son #2 started a movie blog...

    https://moviesupernerd.wordpress.com/

If you have time, take a look! He focuses more on the business and cultural side of movies rather than discussing plots or spoilers. If you add any comments to any of his posts I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

That's not the right tern really. I corrected it to pre-reserved seating. I don't care to pick out my seat before entering the theater. I just want to go in & sit where I want & depending on where others already are, but I guess I'm getting used to it. I like sitting on the end normally unless there's hardly anyone in there, then I'll sit in the middle. I leave a seat open along the side, so we're not sitting on the VERY end...just one of those (quirks) I do, so as people pass up & down (or happen to cough/sneeze as they're passing by), there's still some space.

That's bull. Unless there's a special handicapped area, you should just take whatever seat you can get. If you get to the theater late then too bad for you. I always get there early so I have my pick of seats.

Yep, same here! I'm never late, so I don't care about having my seat ready for me when I get there. I'm sure they do it to avoid movie-hoppers, but in one of my AMCs there are a TON less seats than before they had the dine-in method that I can't help but think they're losing $ anyway. I'm talking only like 8 seats per row & like just several rows of seats.

I buy my seat online. I usually go to see the blockbuster movie that's out about a week after it debuts.

We don't have the Dine-in theaters but maybe they will put one in around here. I think I might try it once but probably not make a habit of it. As far as I know at Regal you can buy your tickets online but not reserve a particular seat. That might have changed since I've been there since it's been over a year since I went last.

The AMC food is of restaurant quality. My fiance' got a burger once & it was very tasty & rivals any sit-down restaurant.

It was already playing when I got there, so I saw Crawl. Try not to have anything in your hand when watching. That's all I'm gonna say.

Saw Crawl & Stuber. Crawl was a little slow-moving and I wish there was more to the storyline. Stuber was OK if you feel like a laugh. I seem to be a little more critical of movies these days.

All in all, this summer I’ve seen: Godzilla: The King of Monsters, Detective Pikachu, Aladdin, Anna, The Secret Life of Pets: 2, Toy Story 4, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Avengers: Endgame, John Wick 3: Parabellum, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Crawl.

I liked Crawl even though it was slow in parts. I rarely get shocked, but I was definitely scared a few times in the movie. You were right, @whizkid, about not having snack foods or a drink in my hand, lol! I don’t want to spoil it for some people who haven’t seen it yet and so I won’t say anything else. :D

    I still plan to see:
    • Hobbs & Shaw
    • MIB (I’m iffy on this one because the reviews haven’t been great.)
    • Stuber (next on the list)
    • Charlie’s Angels
    • The Angry Birds Movie 2
    • 21 Bridges
    • Angel Has Fallen
    • It: Chapter 2
    • Ad Astra

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
    Ready or Not
Angel Has Fallen - will see TODAY

Liked Ready or Not the least of them.

Update: I saw it. It was amazing! Loved the dynamic between Gerard Butler and his “dad”.

I know it's only Aug 2019, but this year is a significant year as a lot of big cinematic stories are wrapping up this year. The original MCU is finishing, the Star Wars "Skywalker" Saga is officially ending, IT will end, it looks like it will be the ending of the X Men universe... a lot of things will end. I know there may be new stories that come out of all that, but a lot of story arcs are closing off in 2019.
    My top 3 is:
    1.Dune
    2.Untitled Nolan Film
    3.Avatar 2
Besides, some friends at my APKNite company also expect WW84, Mulan, Onward.
And what movies you are looking forward to in 2020?

I know we're into fall now, but I've since seen:
    • Rambo: Last Blood - good, although didn't see any other the prequels
    • El Coyote - the most low-budget movie I've ever seen on the big screen

^ I want to see all you listed too except for Addams Famly & I don't recall hearing about Playing w/ Fire. You seem to see a LOT too. Do you belong to a movie-watching program? I'd join one again if I had extra $.

    I ALSO want to see:
    • Black & Blue
    • Terminator (latest one)
    • Countown
    • Mary
    • The Dead Center
    • Holiday Hell
    • Lucky Day
That takes care of the rest of this month so far.

I do not belong to a movie-watching program — I just got to the movies whenever I feel like it. I usually allocate a certain amount of my money per month for fun stuff and so I oftentimes go to the movies. It’s great fun!

I usually don’t even look at the price and pay like $8-15. I just can’t be bothered to worry about the times and price. I’d probably save a lot of money if I did that, haha! :)

In November, I plan to see Frozen II, Terminator: Dark Fate, Charlie’s Angels, Doctor Sleep, and Playing with Fire.

In the future, I plan to see:
    • Mulan
    • 21 Bridges
    • Avatar 2
