You got a really good score, that should put you at the top of list of candidates to call. That said, they'll only call up people when they're about to embark on an operation - and there are several. I actually waited more than 6 months before my first stint, which was address canvassing - verification of addresses - using a cool hand-held computer, walking from place to place.

Now I am doing another operation, which is following up non-responses from the questionnaire sent last month - involves interviewing people. Timing wise, it works out with my subbing because typically, sub gigs are in the morning, while the best time to interview people during weekdays is in the late afternoon when they're home.

So-called passing scores really depend on the area and the population pool; they'll pick the top scorers. If it is in a place with lot of highly educated/skilled candidates taking the test, one probably has to score pretty high (in the 90% percentile or so) to be considered.

The test for enumerators encompass a lot of common sense questions and problem solving stuff - it's not rocket science.

Hello Ms. I. I will continue to sub in a preschool/work in a summer camp in addition to taking early childhood education classes. I hope to work as a preschool teacher in the fall!

    Hello myownwoman, that's great!

I was hoping that this school yr that just finished would be the last yr I sub, but no. Instead, in the fall, I'll probably be working as an unpaid SLP asst for 80 hrs while going through a 12-wk SLPA program & then I'll still have to squeeze in subbing. Oh, I'm getting too old for all this! Sigh! :(

I'm going to get livescanned today for some work at a private school that I'll be doing. It'll probably just be subbing. Some of the teachers that I sub for at my regular school in a public school district work at this private school during the summer so there will be familiar faces.

sunshine*inc, that's great! I almost went to get livescanned (yesterday) too, but my new employer said I won't have to end up doing it after all.
