    I'm looking for some advice!

My husband and I are considering a road trip next summer to see his family in Alabama. We live in CT and want to see some great things along the way. We won't have a LOT of extra travel time, but we may be able to hit 3 or 4 attractions along the way there and back and are looking for some input on what we should see that would be along our route. Any one have any suggestions?!

Definitely spend some time in DC, there are lots of free things and if you haven't really "done" all of the memorials at least once, you really should. We love Philly, too. You have to see the Liberty Bell at least once in your life! It's fun to drive over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel, and taking a ferry is also a fun experience (there is one from Cape May NJ to Lewes DE). If you do Williamsburg, also take a chance to stop at Jamestown.

Oh, and what about Annapolis...you can tour the Naval Academy and take a sailboat cruise.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. :)

He has family in Huntsville and down in Enterprise (where we'll probably spend most of the time).
