    Hi!
I keep reading and hearing that you have to be nominated by a principal in order to even be able to apply for the substitute teacher training, but I have never gotten a full explanation. Anybody familiar with the whole procedure? How do you get a principal to nominate you? How much do they pay? Can you substitute teach as many days as you get a year, or does NYC have a limit on how many assignments you can accept? Is there any website that you know will give me the 411? THANK YOU!! :)

I would like to substitute teach in NY after moving there. Is a Bachelor's degree all you need? How much is the initial registration fee?
