First post! Hi everyone So, I am doing my student teaching in 2nd grade in the fall, and I am using the edTPA instruction for my portfolio and submissions. One thing my cooperating teacher and I thought of is instead of doing a lesson that they already do, I can do my own pre-lesson before they begin the units. I was thinking of writing, and a couple of the ideas I had were teaching nouns, verbs and adjectives, and what is a sentence? (and discussing the parts and making their own sentences). I have a lot of experience with 2nd grade, but not a lot with 1st grade. I would love to hear from other new teachers, or experienced teachers on what might be a fun unit that I can make up from scratch for my kiddos! Thanks, and I am happy to be here
