Can you think of any other stores that would carry the same item in Regular sizes and plus sizes. We probably need a sparkly top for a dance routine and we will need them to match and come in both types of sizes. So far I've found... Alloy Deb Shops Dots-but they don't have shopping on their website which may make it hard to get sizes. Kohl's JcPenny Frederick's These are the tops we are considering...but we really want Sparkly that isn't sleeveless. http://www.fredericks.com/Cold_Shoulder_Dolman_Sleeve_Tunic/74409,default,pd.html?cgid=cl56 http://www.fredericks.com/Sequin_Panel_Blouson_Top/74372,default,pd.html?cgid=cl56 http://www.discountdance.com/dancewear/style_NF8457.html?pid=6102&Shop=Style&SID=220929977 Thanks for your help!!!
Dress Barn. I love shopping there for this very reason! Sometimes I'll be in a plus size there, sometimes a regular style. It i find something I like on one side of the store, and it doesn't fit, I can usually find it or something very similar but cut slightly differently on the other side of the store.
Was going to say Fashion Bug, too. Or any department store might - they often have the same designers but may or may not have the same clothes. I am thinking specifically of Babyphat at Macys. But you can shop them directly. http://www.babyphat.com/shop.php
Thanks everyone! I'm going to look into all of these...I don't know why I didn't think of Fashion Bug! I didn't know Dress Barn had regular sizes, I will check that out too! Blue- we used to do that or use a costume catalog, but the prices started getting out of hand $125-150 for a cheaply made costume that we are going to wear for 3.5 minutes! I've never heard of Catos, but I'm going to google them! Thanks again!
Lane Bryant and The Limited used to have a lot of the same stuff. I used to wear a plus-size top and a regular bottom. I found an outfit I liked at Lane Bryant, but the pants didn't come in a size 12. I was disappointed, and the clerk told me that they might have it at The Limited. They did! I don't have a Limited near me now, so I haven't been there in years. Chadwick's online has all sizes. I ordered my bridesmaids dresses from them. I got matching dresses in sizes from 4 to 24.
That was probably when Limited owned Lane Bryant. They don't anymore and have totally gone downhill, but that's another thread.
I THOUGHT something was different during my last trip to Lane Bryant!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, no more affiliation with the Limited? Firstly, the LB is not in the mall anymore -- it's in a strip mall, which was fine, but not what I expected. And I have noticed (not to be TMI) that the quality of their undies (the cacique) brand is flimsier....!
The elastic on the leg keeps coming off mine, but I don't know where else to get nice ones so I keep buying them. The buttons come off everything and I have 2 pairs of pants I have only worn twice/three times respectively, and they are already in the sewing pile. I am so annoyed but the Macys here really stinks too and I don't know where else to shop in my area.
Do you have a CJ Banks nearby? CJ Banks and Christopher and Banks are both owned by the same company (and have much of the same clothing) and I love their pants.
