My friend has cinderblock walls in her classroom and can't get anything to stick. We tried using a glue gun (which has worked in the past in other classrooms) and masking tape. Nothing works. In the past I have tried sticky tack with no luck

    Any ideas :dunno:?

    Thanks in advance.

There is another forum about this. People suggested mauvalus tape, hot glue gun and velcro.

The best thing is hot melt glue . . . don't get low temp.

The hot melt holds great and removes cleanly. The low temp holds fine, but it doesn't come off well at all.

We had cork strips mounted on our cement walls.

I use lots of clear packing tape. Nothing fell last year, and so far (knock on wood!), nothing has fallen this year.

Double sided duct tape- I did not have a single thing fall off the wall- even in the hot, humid south!

Wal Mart sells it in the hardware section.

Hot glue gun worked for me as well. I tried the mounting squares, masking tape, and duct tape, and everything fell down. The cheap hot glue gun I bought from Wal-Mart for less than $3 worked wonders.

I'm going to have to try the double sided duct tape. I'm sitting here asking my husband about it and he's never heard of it. He's not the duct tape kinda guy so it figures. My neighboring teacher tried hammering metal thumb tacks and it worked for her but not for me!
