Anyone work in a STEM/magnet school or school that has a strong STEM program?

Just wondering what it is like. Love it? Hate it? I LOVE teaching science (5th grade right now). I can't imagine teaching much else which makes me think I should pursue a more STEM focused school.

    Thoughts?

I worked in a well known stem school but didn't teach a stem subject. I enjoyed it and learned a ton. It was tech heavy (obviously). Design challenges were a big part of teaching there. It was also a mastery school (have to get 90% to go to the next class). We had lots of out of the box classes like crime scene investigation, shark tank, and many others. We had freedom to change our schedule and the teachers had lots of freedom.

That being said, the work load was extremely high compared to a "regular" school. Almost all the teachers have left for other districts now. Obviously that could be specific to my school and could be different other places.
