Hello, I found out this afternoon that I am starting in my new Grade 4 classroom tomorrow rather than late next week). I luckily have some experience as a substitute teacher at the school I am working at (one of the teachers actually encouraged me to apply for this position in the first place), however, as you can imagine I am now a wreaking ball of nerves.

Any teachers out there that have started mid year who have some tips or tricks to get me through my first few days? (My motto for the tomorrow is to get through the day safety and if they actually learn something tomorrow it's a bonus.)

I started Mid Year and all I can say is go in with your expectations in hand and follow through with those expectations Do not make the mistake I did and let things slide.
