I was really nervous going into it because I'm with a 6th grade English class, and I have almost no experience with middle school students, all my middle school experience being with 8th graders. But I've spent two four-hour days there (one basically running the class because they had a very... relaxed sub) and I found that, to my surprise, I love these little ones so much. They're very well-behaved for the most part, they're adorable, and they say the funniest things, I've already laughed a lot in this classroom. This has already changed the way I thought about middle school students.

If you're used to 8th graders, then you will love 6th graders. They're more childlike, more innocent and sweet. They're hormones haven't started kicking in, they're basically very mature elementary students :)

See, here's the funny thing: until now, my comfort zone has actually been high school students!
