What are some things that they do on this day? Freebies, discounts, etc?
Do you need to show a school ID, or can I show my offer letter since I haven't gotten and ID card yet?

Staples will probably accept your letter. These teacher appreciation events at office supply stores often include a goody bag filled with school supplies and and a few samples and coupons, refreshments, door prizes, and discounted merchandise throughout the store for teachers.

I've been to several and have always been pleased. I think it's a really nice thing for them to do for us. :)

If you plan on making a big purchase, it is a great time to do so. 2 years ago I purchased my laptop on Teacher Appreciation Day and saved well over $100.00!

Staples have never asked for ID. It is a nice way to say thank you to all teachers. Enjoy!

I missed our date. :( I wonder why they didn't email us about it? I have a teacher rewards card and they usually email us about events.
Thankfully I didn't miss the Office Depot one. It's the Saturday before we start back to school.

You can fill out a form for their Teacher Rewards Card online and print it out. That way you already have it and don't have to spend time that day filling out the stuff.

I missed our date, but I've convinced myself I have to be ok with it! And yes, you can fill out the form online for the rewards card. It really helps to use it in the long run. :)

They asked for my teacher reward card, so if you fill it out online and take it with you, you should be fine. (Mine was last weekend).

ugh! I'll be camping the weekend when mine is. That really stinks because I was camping last year too when they had it on a different weekend!

My Staples showed me what it will be. It is a plastic expandable folder (orange) it has a few coupons. A letter sized lined yellow pad...a sm bow of colored paper clips. A marker, pencil, pens, all samples of course....and thats about it I would estimate about 10-15 dollars in value.
