Last week someone posted a link to the penny sales at Staples. Does anyone know what the penny sales will be this week (July 13)? I can't seem to find it online. Thanks and happy shopping!

Penny sales? Does that mean they sell stuff for literally a penny? I've never heard of this. Sounds like something I'd enjoy, though.

I think it ended yesterday. The sale wasn't as good as last year's but I did get a bunch of folders and some pencils. Oh, and a class set of binders for a quarter each.

I think they are offering different deals at different times. There are no penny sales next week, but I'm sure all their good deals aren't over. I've heard WalGreen's will be having some really good sales soon too!

I found a clearance on blunt scissors at my staples. They were regularly $1.99 and got them for 50 cents.

I asked a manager at Staples and he said that was the only "penny sale" they were having but they will have more "good deals" before school starts.
One store near me made teachers stick to the limit (4 binders, 2 pencils, 10 folders) and get to the back of the line to check out as many times as they wanted. I did it about 4 times but then got aggrevated because the same store allowed teachers to get 12 of everything last year.
Another store 10 miles away allowed teachers to get up to 25 of everything.
If it's a national chain why don't they all have the same policy regarding teachers!!
Very frustrating...It's not like we don't spend a fraction of our salary on school stuff anyway.
