Does anyone have a Staples Easy Button? Does it actually say anything?
I have one and the kids love it! It does say "That was easy!" I let the kids press it they did really good on something.
I thought about getting one but didn't know what I would do with it! That would be cute.
There is also a Spanish one that says something "facil."
We had one in our room. It was fun to play with. Just added some humor.
My kids loved it last year. In the morning, I would say something like, if you finished all your homework and turned it in, give yourself a check and hit the Easy button. If I forgot to say hit the .... they would remind me very quickly. Occasionally it got hit by mistake when something fell on it during the day and we all enjoyed that.
I've always wanted to buy one but never had a reason to...until now! Thanks for the ideas
Does it make a noise when you hit it?
I just got one a few weeks ago! There is a slight delay after you press it and then the voice says "That was easy!"
I plan on using it as a "reward." I know they'll get a kick out of an opportunity to use it. Or if the whole class does a particularly good job on something - like lining up or following another direction - I plan on using it.
My 2-year-old son loves playing with it, too.
Gee, who am I kidding? So do I!
I have a English and a Spanish Easy Button It is great.
I think I know the obvious answer to this question: Where can I get one? (We don't have a Staples near us...)
Last year one of my very best students, a girl who did everything right, never got in trouble, was nice to everyone came up to my desk and just stared at me. I asked her what she needed and she quickly put her hand on the Easy Button and pressed it. She was really embarrassed after but I guess she was just dying to try it! It was so cute.
Yep...$4.98 at Staples.com. I'll be gettin' myself one of those! Thanks for the idea!
Any of these towns close to you
Fond Du Lac, WI
Now I'm going to go get one tomorrow! The kids will enjoy it!
Nope...I'm on the other side of the state. But I bet there's a Staple up in Mpls....I get up there every now and then. I'll check the locator.
I have one and love it! I also let the kids press it when they have struggled with something and they figure it out. It is such a riot.
That's what our vise principle got us for TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY, it sits next to our copier. He thought it was funny because we have over 100 staff members and ONE copy machine.
I have 2 in my room. They love it when I hit the button.

My tech director picked up one for me, and I just got it today! I, too, was wondering exactly how I would use it. Thanks for the great ideas!
One thing to add: I noticed on the back of the container, it said that Staples donates 100% of the money it makes from sales of Easy Buttons to the Boys and Girls Club. That is pretty awesome, and another great reason to go get one!!
I just bought one about a week ago after seeing one on somebodys whiteboard in the pictures on this site! They come with magnetic holders now so I plan on sticking it up on my white board and hitting it whenever the kids do something really great, or catch onto something they are having trouble with...whenever it seems appropriate. Just another fun thing in their day to motivate them!
We love our Easy Button!!!!!
Here's how I used it last year: Each morning, I pick a token (has student's number on it) and that person gets the "Easy Button" for the day.
They are allowed to press it ONCE during each subject. (Once during math, once during spelling....) They press it when they want to. Most of the time, it is pressed when we've worked through a problem and the student finally "gets it"! Every now and then, they would press it at a "funny" time, and we'd all get a good laugh! But, it is their choice.
We really love our Easy Button! (Oh...they're not allowed to touch/play with it, except to press it once per subject.)
My students love mine! They always asked to push it last year after completing a math sheet or reading task.
Yesterday was Teacher Appreciation Day at Staples here. Guess what was in my goodie bag--an Easy Button!
I had wanted to get a button but didn't know what I could do with it. Using it in the morning for the homework is an awesome idea! Thank you!
I have my Easy Bottom between my computers. When a child passes an AR test they can press the easy button. They love it!
Thanks everyone. I really want one but unfortunately staples.com us OUT! bOO HOO. Maybe I can get my sister to rush me one from her store.
