I tried to search this forum but no luck... Last year a friend passed along some ideas for a "good luck" bag to give each student before our big standardized tests. It had things like Smarties, Dubble Bubble gum (to stretch their thinking and to remind them to fully bubble in their answers) and I can't remember what else! I found some Indiana Jones fruit snacks and I figured I could tell my students to hunt down clues to justify their answers, but any other cute ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Five school days until TAKS has my brain fried!

A Penny For Good Luck (even Though I Don’t Think You Need It)

-a Crunch Bar Because I Know You Will Crunch The TAKS

-a Starburst Because I Know You Will Be A Star On The TAKS

-a Milky Way Because I Know You Will Have Success All The Way To The Milky Way

-a Blow Pop Because I Know You Will Blow The Top Off The TAKS

-smarties Because I Know How Smart You Are.

-and Hugs And Kisses Because You Will Do Wonderful.

This is what I saw a few years ago. I don't know how strict your school is about candy, but I wanted to help

I did this last year and included:

Smarties: Because I know you are SMART
Blowpops: Blow the top off of the TAKS
    Starbursts: Aim for the STARS
    Hugs: I believe in you.

This year since I have about 70 students and less money, I'm giving each student a snack size bag of Lucky Charms cereal...
