Has anyone gotten their STAAR scores yet? I heard a rumor that some people received raw scores but there wasn't a passing standard noted anywhere. Just curious.

Our school got some form of scores because our P was telling us about how we did.

We got raw scores but we don't know what the passing standard is yet.

They aren't setting the passing standard until fall.

LOL! I haven't heard that the passing standard isn't being set until fall... OMG! Could this be any more politically driven?!

Seriously? How can the state hope to have ANY SHRED of legitimacy without setting a passing standard BEFORE the actual test. This is so ridiculous, it almost makes me want to cry.

I need to go get my Starbucks Hot Chocolate and calm down. :(

(Just fyi, the passing standard for TAKS this year must have been extremely low. They're trying to pass all of these kids and clear out this test so they can focus on STAAR alone. It's such a joke, but parents and political leaders use this data to justify legislation, budgets, etc. I just don't understand...)

We got our raw scores on the 23rd. I'm pretty sure passing standards won't be released until January...

The first year of TAKS math test passing rate was in the 30s.

I doubt they will go that low.

I don't know why it is taking so long since they did get the high school standards set.

We received our raw scores this Monday and had a heck of a time trying to interpret them. I don't think I'm allowed to post links.

On the TEA website, the raw conversion tables released by TEA for high school STAAR/EOC doesn't show any consistency in "Satisfactory" Phase 1 standards. Some percentages seem to go as low as 38% while other areas are as high as 48%. My administrators seem to think that roughly around 50% will be considered "Satisfactory" for this first year.

Guess we'll find out in January for middle school.

We got raw scores in. The passing rate that they gave this year's freshman will stay with them throughout their high school careers. I heard something about how the passing standard won't really be set until 2015....to which my P said under his breath "if it lasts that long..."
