I'm out for two weeks, March 14th to March 29th :) My first week will be spent staying with my parents and visiting my family. My second week I'll be flying out to spend a week with my Sweetheart. This will be a MUCH needed vacation since I've been constantly getting sick the last two months. :D

Man am I ready for it... On Wednesday I had a kid puke 6 times, on Thursday I had to clean up a poopy diaper on an 11 year old wearing straight braces (the poo was e v e r y w h e r e), and today one of my students kicked one of my paras in the arm. Yeah, I'm READY.

We get a week and a day - April 6-13. And we're going to HAWAII!!!!! :D

    Wow...Hawaii! Send us a postcard!

Our SB is from March 16-20. I'll be spending that time making classroom observations at another school district in order to complete graduation requirements. :(

My next break will be Easter.

We just returned from February break 2 weeks ago, so I really can't complain.

Ours is Easter-- a week and a half in early April.

I'm hoping to have my next surgery just before the break begins, so that I can use the break to recuperate. My surgeon has me penciled in, and I'll see him again on the 24th of March.

Our is the same time. Right now everyone, teachers and students alike, is in survival mode. It's been a difficult year and staff morale is very low. We are all physically and mentally exhausted. I haven't made any plans--am just looking forward to no emails or little notes from my principal that say, "Please drop by sometime this morning to chat about..." (because this always means another job I need to do).

Ours starts March 27. I'm chaperoning a school trip to Europe! It'll be my first time overseas, so I'm really excited! On top of that, because I'm a chaperone I don't have to pay for flight, hotel OR meals. We've split the kids we're taking into smaller groups and I've met with mine a couple of times. They're really sweet Grade 10 girls. I can't see them giving me any trouble at all. This is gonna be AWESOME!!

Ours is at the same time as yours and I so need it. We lost all of our in-service/teacher work days to make up for Hurricane Ike days and I am exhausted! This year my kids are WAY ahead if the end of the year goals so I feel like I can really relax! We aren't going away, but we will do some fun day trips around the area and I will have at least one shopping day with friends :2up:

Shanoo, where in Europe are you going? I chaperoned a trip to London & Paris once, it was wonderful!!!

An idea: Xerox the last page of everyone's passport ahead of time. In the event that anyone loses his or her passport,, you can take the Xerox to the Canadian Embassy and they'll have an easier time replacing the passport.

Also, consider bringing some masking tape and "taping" them into their rooms. Let them know that, after bed checks, they'll be taped in. Should that tape be broken when you check in the morning, they'll have some serious explaining to do. Of course, in the event of any sort of emergency they can still get out.

Don't really have one this year because of "snow" days here that we have to make up - only get April 10th and 13th off at Easter and the rest is regular school days.

    Aliceacc,

Our major stops are Paris and Rome, but we're also going to Monaco and Florence.

Passports and birth certificates are already photocopied and we've required the kids to provide extra passport photos just in case.

We've got the trip so packed full of activities that we *hope* that come bed-time, they'll be begging for their beds. The tape is a good idea, though. I'll have to bring that up to the other chaperones.

Ours is April 6-10. I haven't heard we are losing anything because of the snowday we had. I don't know that we are going anywhere (still hopeful that we might :) )
