I am definitely enjoying my new kitchen. They measured for carpeting today. That is more of a necessity than a splurge, though.

Will be purchasing a Pellet Stove this week, getting ready for a long, cold winter. It will run us about $2,000, but we don't want to be paying $400/month for Natural Gas this winter. A pellet stove is NOT a fun thing to buy though, so I am going to get something expensive done with my hair!!!!!!!!!

We bought a washer and drier. Not fun.
I am hoping to get some new clothes. It became very clear tonight that even my husband thinks my wardrobe is lacking. Now I just need to spend some money and fix that.

A little splurge in June...a digital camera.

My BIG splurge began a year ago. For the first time, I am living in a house that is mine. No more apartments. During the last year, the whole house has been redone. Carpet, paint, light fixtures, ceiling fans, appliances, and good quality furniture. The current project is to get a roof over the front entry before winter. I love my house!!!!

I spent 100.00 at Talbots to get some basic pieces that were on sale for the first week or two of school. I won't get to wear them too long as they are linen, but I could not pass up the price.

I bought myself an xbox360 and Grand Theft Auto IV...the weekend after it was released. :D

Then I remodeled my bathroom and decided marble would be MUCH better than tile :D

last splurge was at Osteria Mozza, a restaurant by Mario Batali (red hair guy on Iron Chef). It was pretty cool; I think we saw a celebrity on HGTV eating next to a few tables behind it. Over all good eats at that place.

On Friday, I went shopping with my mom, and I bought four pairs of nice shoes (about $200 -- even on sale!), and she bought be a bunch of nice clothes for fall. I found two pairs of pants that I LOVE -- dockers "favorite fit", in denim color. Plus, a nice corduroy jacket and several shirts.

I still need to get my hair cut, and I need to find some nice-looking (but cheap) jewelry to pull everything together, and buy some of the essentials (hosiery and underthings...).

Today I have to "splurge" on a new vacuum cleaner. Last night mine decided 25 years was enough!!! It was HOOVER! This old red thing, but it did the job! I SO don't want to buy a vacuum cleaner AND a pellet stove! The shoes stores are screaming for me to barge on in and buy new shoes AND I do have a hair appointment on Friday. Slurge away everyone!!!!

The last BIG splurge was my cruise over the summer (so worth it and my bf and I are talking about a 7 day one within another year or year and a half!). The other splurge was just for school stuff.....4 pairs of dress pants for $72 (buy one get one .88 at JCPenny) and 2 pairs of dress shoes (about $50, but SHOULD have been $110) oh and my 4 shirts for $23 at Kohls.
