    I bought bras! :)

I always buy mine from WalMart or Target, but the other day I decided to splurge on better ones (Stacy and Clinton would be proud! :)) What a difference! They're so comfortable, and they have just the right amount of 'oomph' without being too perky

They cost me $65, so I consider it a splurge....they were buy 2 get 2 free at Macy's.

I bought some fairly nice bicycle rims. Australian made Velocity Aeroheads.

Now I'll need to get some spokes and hubs to build them into wheels.

But then I'll need a bike frame to put the wheels on.

But the bike won't work unless I have the other parts too. Like brakes, a crankset, bars, and a Brooks saddle.

But once I have a new bike, I'll need some extra tires for rainy weather.

    So I'll get some tires.

But it's a pain to have to change tires all the time. It's easier if you have an extra wheel.

So I'll go buy some nice Australian made rims ....

So along with If You Give a Mouse a Cookie,
and If You Give a Pig a Pancake.

There should also be a book called If You Give Sarge Some Bicycle Rims.

I also recarpeted my whole house. After 2 puppies, we needed it. And I also bought a new chair, love seat, and sofa for my family room. They are so comfy, you just want to nap on them!

My husband and I are going to Vegas the weekend before school starts. It's our 20th anniversary!!!:hugs::wub: We splurged on the hotel our first night. We've gone to Vegas a few times and always stay at a nice, but cheap hotel. We are going to stay at the Mandalay Bay for the first night and the Luxor for the next two. I've ALWAYS wanted to stay there!!!!!!!!!

OH, and we also bought a new Harley Road King so the two of us can go for long drives together!!!

My biggest personal splurge today: Kyoseki hair straightener. $99 + tax; oh yeah; I had a $3.50 coupon. ;) Been wanting this for a very long time and today ULTA had them!

Coach purse and new carpet for my entire house. Actually, the new carpet was due to water damage. The old carper was only 2 years old :( But we decided to do the whole house, instead of just the damaged area. ( the old carpet was not being made anymore.)

Rent? ha, ok, we won't count that.

We definitely splurged on food this weekend - Hibachi Steakhouse one night and blue crabs the other ($60 a dozen, ack)

Other than that, I would say I bought a whole bunch of Bare Minerals makeup from Ulta the other day.

Gas to drive around all weekend! Not fun, but definitely where the majority of my money went this weekend.

I tried to splurge at Macy's, but most of the clearance items weren't in my size. I did get a fabulous jacket for only $4.99!!

I'm splurging this coming weekend with my stylist. I haven't bought new clothes in a long time, and it looks like I'm going to get to go crazy.

Other than that, I bought the expensive cute little mini chip clips at Target for $5.99/8. I needed two sets for my 16 kids, and I had already gotten two other sets for another project. It seemed expensive for clips, but they are so cute and beautiful and were totally worth it.

My splurge? It was getting everything on my grocery list and the last few "Mom, I need"s for school. Kinda pathetic isn't it?

A digital Camera! I've never had one so I don't feel bad. I love it.

My first splurge as a teacher though was around christmas time - i bought myself a laptop. I figured I needed something to call my own. Something I wouldn't have to fight with 3 siblings over when I needed to make a test or worksheet or do my grades.

I haven't bought anything else though - those are my two biggest and only splurges I'll probably ever make.

    Hahaha.

I did my kitchen! I had my kitchen cabinets refaced, got a quartz countertop that I love, nice deep double sink, fancy faucet, am waiting for my new appliances, and will order carpeting after they come in. I don't have to pay for the kitchen remodeling for 11 more months. Yay.

Well.. After reading the other thread about "back to school outfits" and "what you wear to teach in" I went straight to Target.com and OldNavy.com/Gap.com and spent about 100 bucks at each site.. I rummaged through the clearance/sale sections and bought LOADS of clothes! Here is what I bought..

    Target:
    3 dressy shirts
    7 sweater shirts
    4 cardigans
    1 dress jacket
    1 pair of cute flats

    Old Navy/Gap:
    1 pair of khaki capris
1 pair of dark classy jeans
    1 polo shirt
    2 sweaters
    1 white tank top
1 dressy shirt in "coral" (one of my favorite colors to wear!!)
    1 cardigan

    Wooooo!! I think I did pretty good for only spending 200 bucks! :) :) :) :)

Our latest splurge was a new patio set for the deck. Oh, and my 1-year-olds birthday party is starting to add up a little bit, does that count?!?!

Yesterday, I got some $75 sandals, but they're so comfortable! The brand is Merrell.

I also HAD to buy a couple textbooks for my college classes. One was $100, the other $75 & they were both USED! It's a real disgrace that they charge that much for books. Now, I hear people can "rent" texts. Gotta look more into that.
