How many passed this on the first try? What did you think of the written questions? How long did it take to get your scores back?

This test's number makes me think that it's relatively new, so responses on it per se may be a bit sparse, but it should bear resemblances to other similar tests. It contains questions about teaching practice rather than about the subject matter that one teaches, so I've moved it to the Other Tests subforum; threads on other states' tests can offer good help.

The Test Companion at http://www.ets.org/s/praxis/pdf/0543.pdf indicates that this is a two-hour test with ninety multiple choice questions and three constructed responses. A good general rule with that many multiple choice questions is that they're designed to be answerable in one minute each or less; that would leave half an hour for all three constructed responses, so those answers can be brief and memo-like. I note that the constructed responses are worth 25% of the test's total scaled score, so it should be mathematically possible to pass without doing very well on them.

I'm not seeing information on how many test takers pass on the first try.

This Web page indicates when Praxis test results are issued: http://www.ets.org/praxis/scores/. How fast they're returned depends in part on whether you're taking the paper-based version or the computer-based one.

    Best of luck!
