I knew this would be the place to ask for help!
I am an English teacher who was just given a Spanish to teach! I have taught it at the h.s. level before, but not m.s. Luckily it's a beginner level and by that I mean right at the beginning. My principal told me he has some money for software, if I want it. I would like to take advantage of this, but I don't know what to ask for! Can someone help me??
    Thanks in advance!

One of my experienced Spanish colleagues enjoys using Rosetta Stone, and CDs from the Ven Comigo series.

Rosetta Stone is also the most expensive.

I recommend BBC's Language site. They have free videos, lesson plans, and other resources that I use in my Spanish I classroom. I show an episode of "Mi Vida Loca" on that website each class period for 12 weeks. Kids LOVE it. I teach Spanish I. Feel free to PM if need ideas.

I teach at a private school for delinquent girls and like many other districts, we are quite short on funds. So, unfortunately R.S. is out of the question. Just checked out the BBC site and it looks great! We are going to the computer lab tomorrow so we can all play around a little with it!
    Thanks for the input!

Mi Vida Loca is fabulous! It has been the best thing "I've" done all year. :)
