Does anyone know an easy way to play a .cds file in powerpoint 2010....it seems that the cd must be inserted in order for it to work, however we are wanting to play songs off mulitiple cds. I thought of burning the songs onto one CD, however I just tried that and they didn't show up...perhaps powerpoint knew it was a burned copy? Not sure...

    any advice would be appreciated.

I would rip them from the CD onto your computer, then use those files from the computer.

Copy the files into the same folder as the powerpoint file then link them from there into the powerpoint. On the latest versions you can edit and sample the files as well so you can start and stop them when you want, fade them in and out etc.

Blazer is right...make sure all your pix and sound files and powerpoint are in the same file... that way it knows where to look. If that means you have the music somewhere else on your computer...copy and paste that song into the file with your presentation.

Also, if you save the ppt to a thumb drive or other drive, be sure to save the music there also. I learned that one the hard way.

If you put all the relevent files into the same folder then when you transfer the file from machine to pen drive and back again everything copies over togther and all the links are kept.
