Sooooo, why does today (it's Wednesday) seem like Saturday? ... Even my dog thinks it's Saturday... She's convinced me to do Saturday kind of things...
One week until sping parent/teacher conferences. Only a few days left before 3rd quarter grades are due. Where has this year gone? And how soon can summer vacation get here?

SOoooo... is anyone else's heartaching for the families that have lost their student athletes this week... 3 now... 2males & 1 female died in Florida!!!! What is going on?!!?
It is sad...... I also watched followup stories about the Michigan H.S. basketball player who recently died of an enlarged heart. Wes Leonard was such a great kid.....
So sad that it has happened to any of them... Wes' story is one that you only "hear" about in stories of heroes not that actually happen!!!
They keep moving the place they play to handle all the people... they moved it to the College again for tomorrow.
So...I have an aunt & uncle visiting for the day who I haven't seen in 5 years. I suggested we all go to a restaurant & my mom was thinking back to the house for dessert. I think that will break up the monotony of sitting up at home for 3-4 hours. We'll get to get out, get fresh air, & not worry about what to cook. They'll probably come around noonish or 1:00.
Sooo tonite is Wes Leonard's bball team going for District Champs... Keep all those players in your thoughts... I just don't want them to feel like win the lose they'll Wes down....
Sooo...I'm on Break!!!!!! Wings and pizza (and a cold beer or two) for dinner tonight, then curling up in bed with my book!
That's wonderful, Mrs. C. No wings for us-- it's a Friday in Lent. But we are going to the mall in a while, to get a present for a birthday party tomorow afternoon. So it looks like either sushi or pizza for dinner.
I couldn't sleep this morning ....... sooooo I made a large pot of coffee around 4:00 AM, and fired up the laptop. My babies (that is my wife and my lab) are still upstairs sound asleep, so the house is nice and quiet..... I'm a lucky man.
Minus the coffee (and the "man") part, that's me too. I love when the house is all quiet. If I go upstairs and put on the kettle, I'll wake up the dog, who will in turn wake up Peter. Sooooo I'll enjoy my solitude in the basement minus the tea for now.
Sooooo ...... it's absolutely beautiful here in Colorado today...and we are off to the high country for lunch..... which restaurant? We don't have a clue...... because we don't even know which mountain town we are headed for...... (Hopefully we will have some idea when we pull out of the driveway....)
Sooo... Elizabeth Taylor died. Even though she has been so sick I kind of always thought she would pull through, like she has done in the past.
Yes, it's sad about Taylor. I think they said she had planned a party at her hospital, so she knew the time was about to come.
Sooooo.... we were going to go to the play at Peter's school. But Brian has been home all day with a stomach bug. So instead, I'll let Peter take the girls, and I'll stay home with Brian and get some more freelance done.
Sooooo rws.... it's not "spring time" here in the Rockies either .... Took the Lab pup for a short trip up to about 8,000 ft...... where the snow was fairly deep...... We were treated to a small flock of Rocky Mt Bighorn Sheep crossing the road.... These animals are so powerful ..... and at the same time graceful.... What a great day!!!
Soooo, my weeklong spring break's just about over & it rained most of the time. Just like how it rained the 1st 1/2 of my Christmas vacation. Yet, before both breaks, the weather was good. At least I had a fun gals' day of shopping & lunch w/ a friend today & was hoping we wouldn't have to cancel due to rain. I really needed this day!
Sooooo, we still have 4 weeks until spring break and everyone is getting restless. Time to put some fun things back into our day...even though we won't be cramming for the state tests!
Soooo...my hubby is getting the motorcycle ready for the riding season! Even though it was beautiful today, the air temp is cold. I cant' wait to go riding!
I understand the cold, knitter63 ...... It's been another beautiful day here in CO.... It's just not quite there to put the top down on the jeep.... Maybe in the morning.......:lol:
Soooooo....i've done absolutely nothing today except holding down the couch It made the fact that it is snowing for the 6th day in a row a lot easier to ignore.
After a morning of ball season starting, I held the couch down the rest of the afternoon. No snow to blame, but apparently it rained while I was snoozing. I didn't hear a thing! Saturday afternoon naps are rare in this house so I took advantage of it!
Lauren just left to go snowboarding for the last time this season. My husband is running his first race of the season, so I have the house to myself until about 5:00!
Soooooooo ....... I read that San Francisco Drag Queens claim Britney Spears Is A True 'Superstar' ........ Well that's good enough for me.... I'm sure Britney has just been misunderstood all this time... :lol::lol:
math~I'm totally feeling you! It's in the 50s here today! We are supposed to warm up this weekend so I hope this is the last cold spell.
I agree... It looks so nice out, but it's COLD!!! Soooooo.... I'm working on this slide show for my gram because she's still not out of the woods...does anyone have a magic wand I could borrow so it could just be done?!?!?
