    Moab - Day Two

Soooooo .... we just got back to the hotel from Moab - Day Two....... We did some fantastic jeep trails.... Cliffhanger, which will really get your attention... and a combination of Harrah Pass (easy) and Chicken's Corner (normally rated moderate..... but because of heavy rain and erosion the trail was challenging.

Note to the atheists (God bless you) in ATOZ: If you had gone on the Cliffhanger trail with me you would have found instant religion..........

We have a great dinner planned tonight ....... Should be easy traffic wise......... absolutely no Occupy Moab protesters in sight.......:p

    Moab Day Three

Had another fantastic day........ Did some trails that followed creeks....... By my count we crossed one creek (very shallow water) 11 times in 1.4 miles.........

Great day but I've noticed my spouse is sitting in the passenger seat with her arms crossed...... looking straight ahead and not saying much...... Might be time to head home.........

(and the fun was just starting.......:p)

Sooooo .... I would have had a great day with the bookies ...... except for Nebraska vs Michigan....... I bet the Huskers all the way ... Basically it was a marginally "good day" ... (covering 10 bets) ... ( I had NCS against Clemson with points)

Soooo.... I bought our Christmas dinner today :)

Turkeys, normally $1.79 a pound, were $0.58 per pound if you spent $25 on groceries. With a family of 5, that was a non-issue. So I have a 14 pound turkey in the freezer :)

No turkey here yet, but I bought carmelized onion jelly, spicy balsamic jelly, cheddar shortbread cookies and rosemary shortbread cookies to enjoy on Christmas afternoon.

I've never heard of either of them. I have had red pepper jelly; it's delicious. Your purchases sound wonderful too-- do you serve them on crackers??

I'd never seen them either--I tried samples today with pretzels, but I'll serve with crackers and cream cheese.

    Yes, major, it did suck.

I got my Thanksgiving turkey free with a $150 purchase at Fred Meyer. I intentionally bought some Christmas gifts to get the free turkey. I do like free.

I think a lot of college football was sucking today! But, go Bears!

My husband's company gives every employee a turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We got ours yesterday, and today gave it to the food pantry.

Soooo I was reading this & thought are these people serious... It is good for a chuckle!!!

Police: Fake doc injected cement in woman's rear

    KELLI KENNEDY,Associated Press
MIAMI (AP) - Police say a South Florida woman posed as a doctor and gave a series of toxic injections to a woman who wanted a bigger backside and curvier body.

Sgt. Bill Bamford is with the Miami Gardens Police Department. He says Oneal Ron Morris was arrested Friday after a yearlong hunt. Morris, who was born a man but identifies as a woman, has been charged with practicing medicine without a license with serious bodily injury.

Morris was released from jail on bond, and a telephone listing for her could not be found.

Police say Morris injected cement, mineral oil and a sealant used to fix flat tires into another woman's rear end in May 2010. Investigators believe Morris performed this same procedure on herself and possibly on other people.

Diz, that was such a good deal on the turkey. Sometimes you have to be at the right place at the right time.

I know right. We had $3 off as well because we had another coupon...we had to buy fridge crescents (1) that was on sale & a jar of gravy (good to throw in the pot pie) that was on sale as well. I think with that we got another $1 off!!! Should have seen this older man telling all the ladies to get theirs!!! LOL!!!

    Suh

Sooooooo ..... Suh (Detroit Lions) is getting a reputation as a dirty player. He was just thrown out of the Packer - Lions game for slamming a blockers helmet into the ground several times, stepping on the blocker, then stomping the blocker's arm (while the blocker was laying flat on his back. :dizzy::dizzy:......He was ejected immediately. Suh will be hit with another fine ..... and perhaps even miss a game or two.

Really a dumb move on his part. May be time for some anger management sessions .........
