I had heard the song, Upsadaisy, (thanks for mentioning it) but honestly didn't know the singer. I love some country music but don't keep up with the artists. But back to the video that is one AWESOME truck... I've watched it about 5-6 times ..........
I, for some reason, assume everyone is female. Except I thought czacza was a man because of the Tom Cruise-looking picture I think my name gives me away, although it is wholly inaccurate now, it should say AdamnJakenAaronsMommy now...wow that's a mouthful.
Miranda is my all-time favorite, I have all of her cds. I'm a bit disillusioned with Miranda and Blake right now...tabloids are shredding their marriage to pieces.
What Tom Cruise looking picture? I have never posted a picture in my entire membership and have kept the sme apple the entire time as well...call me boring...but don't call me male..I'm 100% woman....
Sorry czacza I put you and was thinking Caesar! I didn't mean to imply you were a man. I meant Caesar, I thought was a guy for a long time until her posts indicated otherwise... Sorry!!!
The Tom Cruise-looking guy is not really Tom Cruise. He's Captain Jack Harkness from Torchwood/Doctor Who.
The one that got me on here when she first joined was Teacher Groupie. I was so sure she was a he. It is funny how we visualize things in our head that are completely wrong. I remember when Caesar had a different user name that made it pretty clear she was a she.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04WRI-0odjk Major...here's another one for Blake his newest...good song & funny video!!! I saw Mickey Gilley, Louise Mandrell and in John Schnieder in concert as a kid along with John Denver!!!
Diznee, Blake should have stopped after making the margaritas ... I used to go to Gilley's many years ago when I lived in Houston ... that was when I was young and crazy (instead of old and crazy).... Love Mickey Gilley songs...... and this is one of the best .... (Nothing better than having a spouse who will stand by you).... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7WJLihAMS0
He was good at picking up the clothes...LOL!!!! I remember Mickey singing lots of Jerry Lee songs because they are cousins!
Soooo, it's been a cloudy somewhat rainy day here in the mountains ... and for that reason I've declared an early Happy Hour and am now throwing logs on the fireplace........ Actually life is very good.. Hope everyone has a good evening ....
COLD is an understatement here.... going below 0 for the lows windchills way low. Made some no bake cookies...maybe some hot chocolate to go with....
Sooooo, tomorrow is SATURDAY at last.... my favorite day of the week! But then for me everyday of the week is a SATURDAY. Hope everyone had a fastastic week. We are expecting lots of snow in the high country here in Rockies .... So next Monday (er... Saturday) should be great for cross country skiing...... It's Happy Hour folks .... Enjoy.........
More snow headed here, Major. We've already had 5 snow days and our school board decided to make up a few of them during our spring break week, so we lost a few days of aca there...still better than adding on five at the end of June when classroom temps are around 90 degrees(no ac).... So another possible snow day on Monday just makes us all a bit dizzy.
Cza... I think here schools are at almost a dozen snow days. They don't do spring break too many make plans way in advanced!!! WE used to have a couple days built in and would use them for make up days or if no snow days we had long weekend!!!
As a sub, I will tell you that women tend to leave long, detailed sub plans. And overwhelmingly, men just jot down very simple instructions (think like on cocktail napkin). It is sociological, IMO.
I subbed for about 5 years. It took me about 3 months the initial year to establish myself as a first class sub. After that I could pick and choose my assignments. I had a core group of about 8 teachers (6 women, 2 men) I would consider working for .... and they were all excellent. For the most part all wrote excellent lesson plans ... except when they got sick or had an emergency at the last minute. On quite few occasions I wrote my own lesson plans based on a 15 minute or so phone conversation with the (sick) teacher ... This was a bit hectic but not really a problem. They all trusted me and gave me lots of leeway....... It was fun for a few years but then I had this urge to slay other dragons so I quit subbing .... (I enjoyed teaching a day or so a week (maybe less) but I could never go to the same class room with the same kids five days a week. That's just not me............. (excuse my rambling ..... )
Sooooo, I watched a few minutes of pre-Academy Awards show ... I've never been able get into "beautiful people" worship.... Maybe it's because I'm sitting here "all dressed up" in a maroon sweatshirt, blue jeans and boat shoes.... (with a military cut hair-do) .....
I guess it shows that I think more like a woman than a man then... my "generic plan" just with general class information goes four pages... before I even add any curriculum info for the day. I leave a very detailed sub plan, and then I leave a short, one-page synopsis of the day on the back.
Sooooo... do you think spring will ever arrive after a beautiful weekend temps around 50 we are back to 4 inches of snow over nite & schools closed again!!!!
The snow started here about an hour and a half ago. Expecting anywhere from 4-6 inches. My daughter and her boyfriend are supposed to be driving in from Chicago today; I'm hoping that they decide to wait until tomorrow to make the trip.
