So the job that I landed a few weeks ago to teach fifth grade might not work out. It is a really long story but it basically involves some dirty things my ex employer did that are completely heinous and unwarranted. I refused to lie and sign some paperwork and I was fired for it. So they turned in a bunch of false paperwork to the licensing board. It comes down to the licensing board believes them and not me. I have been so worried about this for days. I just don't know if I can cry about it any longer.
So sorry this is happening. Is there a union rep you can speak to about this and obtain some legal advice?
I have a union lawyer that has been fighting for me. I just feel like I'm a little guy fighting a HUGE monster and may never win.
I feel for you. Remember that you are a good person and a good teacher, what they say can't take that away.
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry, but I am glad you at least have a union lawyer. My county won't allow unions...period! stay strong and know you did what you morally thought was right and that shows your character.
Julie, I am so sorry this is happening to you. Keep on top of things with your lawyer and union reps. This sounds so terrible. I will be praying everything works out well. hugs
Julie I am sorry. I am at the same time fuming for you, myself, and others who may have been blacklisted even though we didn't do anything wrong or harmful to the kids or anyone else. I can't fight anymore. I really can't. But I do wish you the best and hope for once a good person wins against the system full of crooks.
It's a good thing we still have unions or else abusive administrators could hijack our way of life. I am so sorry for you Julie... hope to hear that due process works out for you.
Hey hun--I definitely feel for you. There are unscrupulous districts/administrators out there who definitely pull things like this. Perhaps you can hire a personal lawyer and approach this as a defamation of character type of case? Really keep fighting, as painful and sad as this is. You are not alone!
