I am SOOOOO irritated right now.

Basically, all teachers who did not get their contracts renewed at the end of the year were asked to submit their resumes to the district via e-mail. From there, they would be posted on the administrators online portal to view. I submitted an updated resume. They sent me an e-mail back saying it was posted on the portal back at the end of May.

Finally, after hearing nothing, I asked my former VP to check and see that it was posted correctly. Sure enough, they posted a resume from a year and a half ago and NOT the one I sent. It has the wrong phone number on it, let alone the massive gap left in my employment! I have no words to express my anger right now.

No wonder I haven't gotten any calls! Argh!

Thanks. I really have no words to express how angry I am right now. A month and a half I've been waiting.

Also, the TONS of professional development I've done over the past year was missing.

I came into the job hunt feeling very confident, with my past experience/PD and as more and more people were hearing they had jobs, and I had heard nothing it was really knocking me down. I want to say it's a relief, but I could handle if it was me... the fact that I may not have a job for the sole reason that they screwed up at District Office does not leave me happy at all.

I sent an e-mail with the resume attached. That's all I can do. I can't actually post it myself. I just have to trust that when they say it's posted, it really is. Of course, I plan on a follow-up phone call tomorrow as well, and I will check with my VP to see that it got posted properly.

I think the follow up phone call will be a great idea to ensure that the correct resume ins posted. Especially with all that professional development that you have done. That's a huge deal.

It has been my experience that ISDs are in way over their heads with technology. ISD websites in general (and job listings / applications in particular) are tragically mishandled. Wrongheaded. Totally infested with proprietary software and shortsighted thinking.

Alice, unfortunately, with the way they are doing things right now, there is nowhere to put a good word in at all. She has done so for me in the past, but job postings aren't made, principals with job openings just go to the portal and look at the resumes and fill the position right from there. It's the most bizarre process I've ever seen, and is completely different from last year. Nobody knows where the openings are. I heard a rumor that there may be openings at one school, and so I asked my VP to give the principal a call. She called her and mentioned me, but there were no positions. It's absolutely nuts.
