    So, how's your Labor Day holiday going?
    ok; I'm really just hanging out this morning!
    1. spent way too much time here; earlier this am; about l l/2 hours.
    2. ate my bowl of Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch in front of the TV
    3. read the morning paper
    4. watched 4 episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians; :eek:changed the channel when my son came into the room :p and
    5. here I am again...and it's not even 10:30 am!!!

    I'm still in my pjs and I have got to shower and then dust my bedroom; other than that; it's going to be a lazy day! :)
    LOVE IT! hehe

    So far today I have:
    -slept in until 6:30 am, which is VERY late for me
    -made potato pancakes for breakfast
    -unpacked all my new school clothes that got here last week
    -spent time on-line
    -thought about going outside to do some yard work, but decided it is still too cold and windy (which is a huge change from last week where we were roasting!)

    Didn't go to bed until around 5.

    Son went out for pancakes and brought home some for me.

    Got up around 9, ate the pancakes, did a load of laundry.

    Read a couple of chapters from a great romantic adventure.

    Decided to type up the stories the kids wrote last week so that it's easier to conference with them.

    Typed one, thought about how much work it was going to take to teach them how to write, and then got on line and to see what's up on this site.

    Now I'm thinking that I'll type three, do a load of laundry, read a chapter, and type three more. In that pattern.

    Lots of laundry to do. Lots of typing to do. And reading. Got to go to the grocery store.

    Maybe I'll go back to bed.

    No kidding!!! I noticed that yesterday morning.

    Well, I woke up around 4:00 am (which is way too early for me)
    Watched Nova on global dimming
    watched tv land
    and hanging out on this site
    Right now it's around 9:15.

    Plan to:
    do laundry
    food shopping
    and more school clothes :D

    Swam all three days. (about 3 miles total)
    cleaned the bathrooms, the kitchen, and my bike chain.
    As I write, I'm sure my wife is dreaming up more stuff for me to do.

    I'd like a happy medium as far as temperature is concerned. I don't want to be freezing, but I don't want to be dripping in perspiration.

    Got up about 6:30, fed the cats, put in a load of laundry, made a cup of tea and took it back to bed.
    Watched hurricane coverage and drank tea.
    Talked to DH on the phone - he's out of town.
    Dozed.
    Got up again, woke DD, put her laundry in, ate a bowl of Cheerios.
    Now we're both on our respective laptops, keeping on eye on the news. It's ten here.

    Woke up at 700 to turn the alarm off and let the dog out
    Went back to sleep
    Woke up at 1100
    Put a load of laundry in and fixed breakfast for myself

    Luckily hubby was up with daughter this morning so I could sleep in.

    I'm sure that people from the East Coast are just full of sympathy for Californians who complain about their weather.:rolleyes:

    read again.

    You didn't bother me at all. I just think it's funny when any Californian complains about weather, considering that ours, for the most part, second to Hawaii as far as mildness.

    On my other internet life - Bikeforums - I often read about people trying to figure out how to ride their bikes in the snow and freezing rain or in extreme heat and humidity when I've complained about having a 10 knot headwind on an otherwise beautiful day.

    We went shopping today. I got a great deal on some long knee length shorts on clearance (still hot around here and will be for about another month). Went to the VF Outlet and got a pair of black corduroy's for $2.99 and a pair of jeans for $4.87!! What a steal!!!!

    No picnics for me today... my kind husband helped me house clean our double living room - windows, curtains, walls, re- arranged bookshelves, baseboards, even shampooed the carpets! Now he is painting porches. Okay, he has way too much energy. I think I am done for the night!

    Slept in until....(drum roll) 7:30 :eek:
    let the dogs out
    let the dogs in
    fed the dogs
    let the dogs out
    let the dogs in
    ignored the dogs and worked on the computer
    let the dogs out
    let the dogs in
    yelled at the dogs to make up their minds about which side of the door they wanted to be on
    drank a third cup of coffee and let the dang dogs out
    yelled at the dogs to stop barking
    got my son out of bed (almost 3:00) and let the dogs in
    fed the dogs and.....well, you guessed it.....let the dogs out.
    threw some rawhide at the dogs scratching my door up
    worked on the computer for a bit longer, then flipped on the TV
    let the dogs in
    yelled at dogs to stop barking--they wanted to be fed again
    ripped open my stash of M&M's and am inhaling them
    threatened to not let son take drivers test if he doesn't let the dogs out
    now ignoring the dogs who want to come in again.

    Huh, not much excitement. :lol:
