Hi! I'm looking for a new idea for a snack the kids can make and eat for our Valentine's Day party.

I've done cookies in the past but am looking for something new.

    Thanks!

Use raspberry or strawberry jam on crackers or bread (cut with heart cookie cutter), strawberry milk, valentine's brownie mix/cake mix, red apples dipped in marshmallow fluff or cream cheese with food coloring, red jello, cherries

A snack mix: valentine's m&ms, dried cranberries, strawberry yogurt covered raisins

Miniature fruit pizzas...make a heart shaped sugar cookie, cover with cream cheese and add red fruits (cherries, strawberries, cranberries...)

Oh, I like the snack mix idea.

    Jello jigglers, heart shaped.

I agree snack mix idea is cool. We usually one huge cookie that is decorated for Valentine's Day. It is not as big as a cake, and I love the cookie-cake idea so thats what we do :)

We do Valentine Fruit Salad. We come up with a list of Valentine-colored fruit (which parents sign up to bring in) and the kids get to mix it up with some whipped cream. This is also the second year I have had a child with a Valentine birthday - so they bring in cupcakes. My class loves fruit this year - so anything fruit related makes them happy.

    Valentine messages

I have spread both cream cheese or pink frosting on graham crackers. Then I give the kids alphabits cereal and have them write messages like Be mine or I love you.

Thanks for all the great ideas! I thought mini pretzels would be a great addition to the snack mix since they are heart shaped. Happy Valentine's Day!

We are allowed to have 2 parties a year where we can serve "sweets". Valentine's Day is one. We are having ice cream sodas-vanilla ice cream, strawberry soda, whipped cream and a cherry on top. I used to make english muffin pizza (each child did their own) but that just is too time consuming!

I haven't decided what we're doing yet, but I like the shaped bread idea. My kids are so picky, but I know they'd like bread, and if I could bring it my bread machine that would be cool to do together.

At a day care I worked at, they did very low key celebrations, and for valentine's day, they had a tea party. Children made placemats that teachers laminated, they had cute little teacups with low-sugar pink punch, served with valentine cupcakes the kids made. Parents were invited, and afterwards they passed out their cards. It was nice.
