Hi! I just received my first ever Smartboard. I'm excited to use but nervous because I don't know much about it. I teach Kindergarten and first grade. I think the more I "play" with it the more comfortable I'll become. Are there any really good interactive websites for K-2 grades that you can share with me? Thanks!
Try www.starfall.com I have a few more saved on my computer at school so I'll try to post them during the week.
If you are clicked on the shape marker and then try to move something, you won't be able to. If you want to use a game or other manipulative, instead of clicking on something, you will keep making shapes. Same goes for the textbox maker, etc.
I got my recently, too!! I LOVE IT!!! Here is my list of sites that could be used on the smartboard. https://sites.google.com/site/blountcountylearningcenter/onlinegames
Smart Exchange has TONS of lessons. I love it! http://exchange.smarttech.com/index.html?lang=en_US#tab=0
I love the Smart Exchange! Promethean Planet lessons work on a smartboard, you just need to download the free software that supports these lessons.
