I have an old SMARTBOARD, but was just offered a newer STARBOARD.

I don't have any experience with the Hitachi STARBOARD.

    Should I switch? :dizzy:

My smart has a projector on a cart that gets knocked around and the STAR has the projector on the arm and speakers.

The only colleagues I have to ask about the starboards, hate them. But theirs are wireless and have issues. Mine would be hard wired so hopefully no issues there.

They don't like that the writing jumps around sometimes if they walk too close to it. I haven't read of anyone else having that issue.

They are the kind of teacher that doesn't like learning new things, and i think that attitude has colored their feelings towards the STARBOARD.

I need to make a decision soon, or it will be given to someone else.

    PLEASE HELP!!! I'm a horrible decision maker...

I would be interested to know the amount of resources for the STARBOARD. I know there are a vast amount of SMARTBOARD resources. Also, can you convert your SMARTBOARD resources that you currently have into STARBOARD. I am assuming that they have two different programs.

I was told that the STARBOARD can run the SMARTBOARD presentations I already have.

It also sounds like the STARBOARD can do a lot more than my current SMARTBOARD.

I wish they just had a larger newer more advanced smartboard to offer me. One that has the same projector arm and speakers.

I had to decide, so i took it.

Sounds cool. It has been described like the thing Tom Cruise used in the Minority Report.

Me too! I just hope they don't come to install it during Final Exams next week...that could get ugly.

Okay, that made me laugh and I was in the middle of a cough at the time. Not pleasant.

I know they will, so i will be prepared with an alternate room we can go to for the exam. it will just be that added hassle.

Already today we had a meeting for the students going to prom tonight and as soon as it started...we had a fire drill. Couldn't wait till next block, or after the meeting...
