I just finished my first interview via Skype. That was interesting for sure! I think it went well and if it did that means I get to move back to my home. This would mean the world to me; I am missing getting to watch my nephews grow up. There is nothing like getting a phone call from a 3 year old because he thought you got lost. They're checking references and I should know something by the end of the week. Any one here ever been hired after a Skype interview?
Oh I just topped off that interview with a phone interview from another school back in my hometown. It was a conference call with the principal and one other teacher. The other teacher just happened to be my former 7th grade science teacher who still remembers me. Prayers said and fingers crossed. I should know something by this weekend.
I was hired after a Skype interview. I was their very first Skype interview. Our superintendent still mentions it when he sees me. Good luck!!!
I GOT THE JOB!!!!!! I may have actually cried a little after I hung up the phone. I am excited to move back closer to my family and friends. I will be teaching 7th grade English. Oh and this job comes with a big raise from what I am making now.

Ms C would you mind sharing which school district you were hired at? I currently live in CA and I've been trying to get Skype interviews in TX. Any advice you could offer would be great. Is it better to just email principals directly? I have taken and passed 3 different content tests, but it seems like most schools are not interested in doing Skype interviews. Please help! Thank you
