My sister-in-law may be moving into the apartment next door. Would you want your sister-in-law moving in next to you?

I like my future sister-in-law, but I don't know how I'd feel having her living next door. I'm not being mean, but I like my privacy, if that makes any sense.

I would love to have my sister-in-law next door--she's a very cool lady! Unfortunately, she lives near Denver (not that Denver is a bad thing, it's just far away) so we only see her once a year or so.

I personally wouldn't want anyone close to me living next door. A little bit of distance makes for better relationships, IMO.

No thanks! I love my sister in law, we lived together when her & bil just got married and were stationed here (while she was 6 months pg), and then they moved across the road. It was nice, but it is good to have some space.

NO. My sister-in-law has 25 ferrets; I can smell them from miles away!

My sister-in-law is the sweetest thing around...but I agree...we'd both appreciate some distance!

Thanks for the feedback. I love my sister in law too. BUT, she is only around when she needs me to babysit or use our computer... Not to mention she's in a bad relationship. I think my husband will go crazy. She's coming to look at the apartment today, I really do love her a lot.

I have two sil's and there is absolutely NO way, when heck freezes over and when frogs have wings so they don't bump there butts that I ever want my sil's living next door, same city or even the same state as me. The further away from me the better off I am. Can you tell that I just love sil's??????? hahahahahahahaha

Good Gravy, NO! I have two SIL's - my dh's brother's wife, whom I can not stand - I think she is useless. And my Brother's wife is ok, but she's so high strung that i don't think I could actually live next to her. Now, my sister on the other hand, that's ok, she's 4 doors down the street! :)

No. And I don't feel bad saying so because she's say the same. :)

    Best of luck!

She likes the apartment, but hasn't made a decision yet. Maybe I need to look at this as a good opportunity to get to know her better.

Wow, what a positive spin on things! That's sure is a positive attitude, and I guess you are right. Is it RIGHT next door, as in a shared wall?

Yes, right next door shared wall and all. I am trying to be positive since she'll be in my life for a long time. But, it isn't easy. Well today it is easy because I think she may be looking into other options. But if I find out she will be next door, hmm... I guess I'll just keep trying to look for the positive like~ we might be able to buy a house faster??? I don't want to be mean, time to get over it and myself. This isn't about me.

Aww, Dave, you're a sweet FIL. My hubby just told me yesterday that my FIL said I am his favorite.

As for SIL's...the loud one, no...the one with 3 out-of-control kids, no...the one who is a fantastic cook and looks like she could be my real sister, yes!
