sinus infection or cats?

We have two new kittens for the past 2 weeks.
I'm concerned I may be allergic to them.
I have not sneezing or coughing or rash.
For a week now, I have sinus pain in my eye corners near my eyebrows. Over the counter meds drain my sinuses but only Bayer will take the 'headache' away. It goes away when I go outside or at night where the kittens are not.

Normally I would think it was sinuses, but since it goes away outside, I'm wondering if it's the cats?

    Any advice?

Yes, it could be the kittens. :( My allergies gave me horrible sinus problems. But, it could be the sinuses only.

You can get wipes that you can wipe the kittens down with---I do not know what they are called but I know some pet stores sell them as do healthcare places. They are specifically for allergies in people.

I would visit your doctor and see about allergy medicine. I have been on Singulair for almost 2 years and I am thrilled with it. I can breathe again and go outside in the allergy "zones" and rarely have issues, except for sinus infections that I have found out may not be sinus infections and are not allergy related (long story). I also have a dog that sheds all year and every 30 seconds and a cat with long hair. No problems at all. I used to have problems with orange cats for some reason, but I am pretty sure that has gone away. Very weird, but I know someone who is highly allergic to cats, but only certain ones. Something to do with their urine, he said.

Good luck to you. Let us know how you are doing.

I guess that since I do not have sneezing or coughing,
I was hoping my sinus symptoms could not be cat related.
But the more I read, the more I realize that it could be. :(

    Rabbitt:
All is not lost! As Jaime said, check with your doctor and the local pet store. I have been on Zyrtec for several years, and it has worked wonders for me! We have a Border Collie who LOVES to shed all over my house and two cats, so my sinuses used to give me fits!

It is only a sinus infection!

I am glad it isn't the kittens! But sorry you have a sinus infection. They can be so very painful. :( I hope you are feeling better!

My daughter had a terrible cat allergy that eventually went away, thankfully, so allergies don't have to be forever if that's any solace.

Best check with your physician for medical questions. Could be the kittens, pollen, a virus, or combo.
