This may seem silly, but I don't want to make all my bulletin board titles and then have my 2 advisors make me change it (gotta love being a first year teacher). When you make titles for bulletin boards, do you capitalize only the first letter of the first word, like a sentence, or do you capitalize each important word, like a book title?

    Would it be

    Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Everywhere!

    or

    Pumpkins, pumpkins, everywhere!

And how do you feel about punctuation if it's not a full sentence?

I have pre-printed bulletin board letters- all capitals.

I'd go with the first choice. Leave the punctuation in.

I treat it as a title with each word capital unless it IS a sentence and makes more sense written as a sentence.

Good Grief! Don't these "advisors" have anything else to do? I'm an advisor and I have absolutely NO time to spend criticizing bulletin boards!! The only time I would ever say anything about a bulletin board would be if something was spelled incorrectly. They are giving us all a bad name, we're not supposed to be police, we're supposed to help teachers.

What did they change? Does that mean you have to run all your titles by them b4 you put them up? What a PITA!
Stick with the first one.:D I treat my board titles like book titles.

I agree that these peopel seem to have far too much time to spend looknig at nit-picky things that really don't matter.

If it becomes an issue, just do one-word titles and all caps ;)

I'd put it all in caps.
