Hello again, I love this site and I have been comming here first for any of my school needs. Thank you for all you your help! I need one more thing before my school year starts to finish my room; I am looking for sign to hang out my class to tell people where we are. I was wondering do you know where I could find them or do I have to make them?

    :help:

my team member has one that is round and looks kids of like a clock. it has an arrow and you move it on the cirlce to where you are (library, computer, recess, etc) It also has a place that says "we will be back at ___:____).

I would just make some type of sign that says " Ms. _____'s class is at ______" and have tags with the various places with velcro on the back, then put a kid in charge of it when you leave the room.

I make cards for specialists, etc for our daily schedule. I add magnet strips to the backs because my white board is magnetic. When we leave or if I need remind kids of something that happens directly after a recess I hang them on my door(the window is framed with metal) or to the door frame as it is metal. I kill 2 birds with one stone.

We have signs that are laminated and say "Sorry we missed you. We are... and lists a bunch of choices such as the nature trail, the garden, the library, P.E. When we leave the room we mark it with an overhead marker and put it on the door (it has magnets on the back).

Our classroom theme is frogs, so I made a sign with about 5 frogs on a lilypad in the middle and it says "We hopped off our pad for:" and on the outside edges are lilypads with PE, Art, Etc... When we leave, it is one of the helper's jobs to move the clothespin with the frog on it to the correct lilypad. I found the idea in a Mailbox book. It's really cute!

    doorknob hangers

I have never actually used these signs because if the office knows my schedule then they will be able to find us. But I had a friend of mine make hers out of doorknob hanger made out of foam (you can find at the dollar store) and decorated each one for where they were. One of the jobs for the kids were to show where the class was by hanging a doorknob hanger.

    Hope this helps

Mine are similar by I had to attach a hair scrunchy to it with string. Our doors open to the outside and we get a lot of wind. The scrunchies help keep the sign from flying away. Changing the sign is also a job that one child has for the week.

I don't know what the problem might be. I just tried it and everything worked. I wish I could suggest something more you could do. *sigh*

(By the way, I just finished looking at the PDF file that was shared (Where are we?) and the sign posted on the site you couldn't get to is basically the same information with pictures to go in each section. Maybe the PDF sign will work for you.)
