I've been transferred to another school in my district and all of my new IEP's refer to the Fry's list of sight words. I was previously using the Dolch word list and while I know they are similar, I'm wondering about specific assessments that can be used to find where my students are so I can begin instruction at their level. The teacher that was here before left me basically nothing and all of my personal materials relate to Dolch. In order to follow their IEP's (until I can make my own additions) I need some resources. Are there any good books, websites, etc. where I can find easy assessments?

I've never heard of Fry's. I'll have to give it a look. I have used Dolch for years. Must be similar huh?

Thanks for the references. I think I'll try posting this on the special ed forum to see if I get more responses. More advice would still be appreciated here though! :)
