The photos look great!! Yay. However, eventually that writing center table may have to be lowered a notch.

I know the antsy and anxious feeling. I like how you claimed your "space" by putting down your rug. :) I liked that rug last year, I remember!!

I LOVE the architecture at your school- the ceilings and the columns. It's just neat and different from white walls and an ordinary white ceiling, if you know what I mean.

    I know. It's on Fran's to-do list. She's been working by herself.

First installment. And without further ado... my classroom library. :) This is the most I've ever put into organizing my room and especially this area.

My coding system so far for Realistic Fiction uncategorized books (the first 170). As you can see, I had 108 done as of then.

Find the up-and-down row of books with Holes, Ella Enchanted, and The Report Card on the low bookcase in the right of the first photo and the left of the second photo. The photos technically go side by side, though one slants. That's how wide the library is. However, I am still making a few adjustments- adding decoration in general and labeling areas. Also, that one part under the Florida board has flimsy books falling over- I have a very heavy book I am placing on the end about United States history to keep all the books on that shelf upright.

Many more photos to come next week! And maybe a video, too! :)

Still, your room is beautiful. I like the board and the magnetic tape you used. I also like how you alternated the tables this year. The location of the horseshoe table is better, too. You've already heard me tell you everything! :hugs:

I also did the test today. I sat at my guided reading table and made sure I could see EVERY station. I can!! Yay!!:wow:

    Ms. M.,
    Thank you very much.

I can't wait for last year's kids to see the library!! Especially the boys. They were the ones who really loved reading last year, and they said they'd come by and see my books this year. They should. :woot:

I even have three dinosaur books...

Try making your link tiny using http://www.tinyurl.com

Sometimes a few important letters can get lost with those long addresses.

Wow! Your room is really beautiful with the high ceilings, beams and natural light! I have a whole wall of windows with storage underneath too. The previous teacher had really cute curtains made to go over them and I left them up. I wish my room looked that BIG!

SmartCookie: What do you plan to put on the board that says "ELD?" I want to include an ELD wall in my room this year since I'll be teaching it to students in grades 1-5 in the afternoons.

I also bookmarked your Math Wall for another idea. I like how Rachael Ray has the audience spin around to whatever set she is using....I'm thinking I may do different focus areas in the classroom too! Your room looks great and is inspiring for its clean look! THANKS.

Beautiful! It's the kind of room a kid would love to walk into! Colorful, organized, lots of things just waiting to explore. You've inspired me.

Are you trying to view your own or someone else's?

If it's your own, you should just post them on another hosting site like Photo Bucket or Flickr.

If it's someone else's, you'll have to wait until they get their albums accessible to the rest of us.

Mrs.100 great classroom. I wish mine was looking that neat.

You all must think I'm nuts. I think I have been complaining about my classroom now for two weeks. I swear it's getting worse instead of better. I know have everything in the middle of the floor.

Oh my gosh! I would NOT know how to act with all that storage! Since I'm in a portable with NO BUILT-IN STORAGE, I get two rolling cabinets to store things in and then anything I bring in myself. And needless to say, I'm a pack rat of sorts, although I'm learning to be more selective in my rat stuff!!!! :-D Great room, Mrs.100. I love the streamline look and colorful perimeter!!

What a great room, Jennifoo. Did you paint the bee on the yellow chair? How adorable. I love bees. Did the school buy the chair sacks?

Pictures of my classroom last year ! :) I was teaching grade 1 and 2(which is called Cycle 1 here) and it was English immersion. I'll post pics of my new room as soon as I have access to it ! It won't be as bright though...older building with hospital green walls. I also won't be teaching in English anymore, I will be teaching grade 1 in French.
