Gopher...sorry if this has been answered somewhere (i don't see it, but there are sooo many replies!). Where did you get your "Feelings & Emotions" pictures? I have the exact same pictures on my fridge as a magnet (with a cool "today i feel..." frame to put over the chosen feeling). I'd love to use these pictures in my classroom.

Great job, Beth. It looks so neat - and ready for kids. I have the same reading posters.

Peachyness, you work fast. Your room is awesome. Wow, you have a lot of desks.

Peachyness, didn't you go from kindergarten to 5th? How/Where did you get so many 5th grade books in time? I wanted to do Scholastic but I didn't think you could order in the summer without ordering from the catalog

    Looks great!

I got all of my books from other teachers. About 100 were mine, and the other 1000 are from the teachers from my school (teachers who retired or moved to a different grade).

Yeah, I know. We have 30 plus kids in 5th. Right now, I only have 24 enrolled, but they told me that that will definately rise to 30 and may even go higher. I don'tknow how I could do more than 30. I have no room for more desks!!!

I think someone made a copy from the poster "How Are You Feeling Today?" (Amazon) and I blew up the faces and put them on cards for the Vocabulary Wall. If I had the copy on my computer I would be happy to share, but I don't.

Thank you very much!!! One of the other teachers on our campus said to me today..."ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE ONLY A 2nd YEAR TEACHER???" That made me feel good!!! It's amazing how quickly you accumulate "STUFF" for school and teaching!

My hubby is happy that I FINALLY got all of that "SCHOOL STUFF" out of our house!!!

Ha! I know exactly what you mean!! I had to move all my stuff home after my first year because my position got cut. Moving it all into my room this summer has been crazy. I couldn't believe how much I had and how much space I was taking up at home!

I'm going through the same thing! It's taken me a few trips to move everything into my classroom, but I think it's finally all out of my basement and into my room.

Yup, I have the froggie, dog and bear chairs!! I just couldn't choose 1 kind! Just beware though...they are not made to last a long time. A couple of my chairs' fabric are kinda coming loose. But for $6, they are worth it. I'm going to even have the kids use a clothespin chart to sign up to use them (along w/ the beanbag chairs, folding chairs, rocking chairs etc.)
