Should I invite my co-op teacher to my graduation party?

Looking for thoughts from current teachers :) I am just about finished with my student teaching internship (and my Masters degree). I have an amazing teaching that I was placed with for 14 weeks. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to invite her to my graduation party? Or do you think this could be taken the wrong way (as if I'm trying to get a gift or butter her up for references, which I am not). Or do you think she might be uncomfortable? What would you think if a student teacher of yours invited you?

P.S. This is not a crazy party by any means. No alchohol or anything just some snacks, games, and (if the weather's nice) outside by our fire pit

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

If you have a good relationship(It sounds like you do) invite her. I would feel honored if one of my student teachers invited me to their party.

You should invite her! I'm sure she would love to know that she's special to you.

If you wish to invite her, I think it would be great to do so. I think any teacher would appreciate the invite whether they are able to attend or not. There is nothing inappropriate about this.

Thanks everyone! I think I will invite her then! Just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't be considered as too personal or anything.

I only have two weeks left of student teaching! It's crazy! I'm sure gonna miss my 3rd graders :(

    I'd invite him/her.

I student taught 8 years ago and have maintained a close relationship with my master teacher. I'll always consider her one of my greatest role models.

Yes invite her. If you feel uncomfortable about it you can say you felt you should invite her but that she shouldn't feel obligated to go. You just really feel she was integral to your success and wanted to have her there to celebrate.
