I'm finally getting calls for para interviews and for the past few days I've gotten one or two calls per day. They are all calls from the same district and oddly enough they are all from the east side of the district. I had a great interview this morning at a school that I know would be a great fit given my previous experience. While I was driving home I received a call from another principal at a school that is in the very farthest area of the district. I live three districts away and it would take me at least 45 minutes every day to get to this school. Last week I had an interview with a sister school that was less than five minutes away and I had a good interview with them and may be getting an offer this week. I'm not sure if I should go ahead and interview with this school anyway. I'm very hesitant to interview with them because of the distance and because I have a couple of good prospects going with other schools. What do you think I should do? One way or the other, I will call her back to accept or decline the interview tomorrow.
I would take every possible interview opportunity up until you commit to a job. Until you get an offer you want to accept, keep interviewing : )
Take every interview you are offered. Even if you are not super sold on the school just based on the distance, you might decide that it is a great fit for you. At the very least, it's good experience! It's always better to have many options just in case one of your other prospects falls through. I have had several interviews where I thought I would get a job offer, only to be rejected. Hopefully you will get an offer soon!
Yes. Just last week, I accepted a job offer but still went on an interview anyway, just to see what that school/district had to offer, because you never know what may happen in the future!
Thanks guys! I will call tomorrow morning and set up an interview. I'll take all the interview experience I can get!
