I am certified to teach Business but was a sped aide last school year.

The school I worked at last year and am to report back to this year as an aide has a Bus teacher position posted. I applied online as is the procedure but I was wondering would it be a good idea to also go to the school and speak with Admin (they may or may not be aware that I am certified to teach business).

I would hate to not be called in for an interview, show up in August and be assigned as an aide for the new teacher.

Business teacher openings don't come around too often.

    TIA

Why not just shoot admin an email letting them know your certifications and that you applied.

I wouldn't go to the school. I agree, shoot them an email. If they want people to apply online, that's how they want applications to be received.

I would totally go in. If you know people in the building, you have a huge leg up on any competition. Your competition will be sending emails, so why not use your advantage and go in person. I find emails so impersonal I also think its easier to forget about emails.
