Should I email to ask?

I was offered a job (and accepted) the end of June. I signed my contract yesterday. I know that everyone's probably in summer mode but is it okay to email the principal to ask about getting my key to my room or even seeing my room? I really need to see what I have to work with (there may be a smart board which messes up my usual morning meeting set up). When I went in yesterday to sign, many of the other new hires have already toured the school, and some even got to see their classrooms. I just don't want to bother him since I think they have until 8/1 to be off.
