I've done some searching on shoes threads from the past on here, but just looking for suggestions. I want comfortable, fairly decent to look at, and less expensive than a new car. :D What's your favorite comfy shoes for work?

I hear you! I am HARD on shoes and cannot seem to bring my self to spend $$$ on shoes. So I use cobby cuddlers and anything else I can find that is inexpensive.

I wear Born or Born Concept (the 'o' has a slash through it, but I don't know how to do that on here.) They're pretty comfortable with lots of support, and I can usually get them on sale at Famous Footwear.

I don't want to spend an arm & a leg either, yet, it's worth it to me to spend a little money on quality shoes. For me personally, I'm willing to spend about $60-75 on an everyday, casual pair. If it's a really unique style & I really, really want them, I'll go to $200.

For me, I've had mostly good luck w/ Sofft, Naturalizer, Born, Hush Puppies, & Privo. Aerosoles is the cheaper of the comfort brands. I guess they're not bad.

I've been really happy with my Sperry Topsiders. I don't wear casual shoes much, but I wanted something to wear with casual pants. They only carried one style in wide at the store. They're comfy, though I feel a little weird wearing the same shoe as mos for my students.

My favorite dress shoes are Sofft.

Thanks for the suggestions! I do have some dressier shoes that I wear from time to time, and so boots that I LOVE. I have plantar fasciitis, though, and our concrete floors are horrible on them. So, I mostly wear comfy clogs.

You can get inexpensive Sanitas (the brand that used to make Danskos) at a website called theclogoutlet.com. Instead of spending $120 for a pair you can get them as low as $40 or so. If you don't find a pair that you like in your size, keep looking. I've gotten a few good pairs from there.

I just ordered a pair of these because they were very comfortable when I tried them on. I didn't know they came in wide though, and wished I ordered those!

I went to a few stores today and bought a pair of Borns. You can't even begin to imagine how hard it was to fork over $70 for a pair of shoes. Seriously. My niece was with me, and after we walked away from the counter she looked at me and asked me if I was still breathing! lol I know you get what you pay for, though, and I've been having a fair amount of foot pain lately. I'm willing to give them a try.

I love Clark's too, they are usually around $60-$80, but they are sold at many department stores that have sales or coupons. I have bought a few pair from JC Penny's and Macy's and I also shop at DSW and they send out coupons pretty regularly.

My Clark's have lasted me three years, and I usually wear them 2-3 days a week. I also almost died when I paid that much for a pair of shoes, but they were so worth it! My black pair of flats are on their last legs, and I really need to go and replace them...

I've been wearing them some today to make sure they are comfortable, and I'm really liking how my feet feel. I will be getting another pair (another color and style), but just couldn't do two in one day. lol

$70. Is actually pretty reasonable for Born shoes in my area. Hope you like them as much as I like mine!

You don't want shoe advice from me unless you are looking for heels. At least 3".
I have a beautiful pair of Uggs that I wear to school about once every week and a half...no one who walks behind me knows it's me.:)
